Training Middle/High School & Collegiate Athletes

Program Goal: To produce measurable increases in total body strength and muscle mass while promoting explosive mobility.

Summary: Through proper coaching, athletes will utilize three main lifts, six ancillary movements, and various plyometrics and agility exercises. Each athlete is assessed for explosiveness and strength prior to the program. Using the strength assessment results, athletes receive their individual progressive 8-week lifting program along with their specific calorie recommendation. Each training week athletes report calorie intake and are accountable to adhering to the program recommendations. At the conclusion of the 8-weeks, athletes will be assessed again to measure program results and a pre/post assessment report is provided.

8 Week Program Schedule

Last day to Enroll: Friday, May 31st, 2024
Pre-Program Assessment: Saturday, June 1st (10am) & Sunday, June 2nd (2pm)
Program Starts: Monday, June 3rd, 2024 (6:00pm)
First 4 Weeks: Monday, June 3rd – Friday, June 28th
Active Recovery Week: Monday, July 1st – Friday, July 5th
Last 4 weeks: Monday, July 8th – Friday, August 2nd
Program Ends: Friday, Aug 2nd, 2024
Post-Program Assessment: Saturday, Aug 3rd, (10am) & Sunday Aug 4th (2pm)

Pre and Post Program Assessments

(Pre-assessments are required. Without it, your athlete will not have their individual progressive training schedule to follow for the 8 weeks. No alternate date/times or makeup assessments.)

Pre-program: Saturday, June 1st @ 10:00 am or Sunday, June 2nd @ 2:00 pm
(Athletes will be assigned Saturday or Sunday by group, TBD by class size)

Post-program: Saturday, Aug 3rd @ 10:00 am or Sunday, August 4th@ 2:00 pm
(Athletes will be assigned Saturday or Sunday pending Pre-program day)

Training Times:

(Times may need to be adjusted pending Middle/High School Summer Athletic Schedule)

Elite Boys 9th – 12th Grade 11:00 – 12:15pm
PEL Boys 9th – 12th Grade 1:30 – 2:45pm
PEL Girls 7th – 12th Grade 2:30 – 3:45pm
PEL Boys 7th – 8th Grade 3:30 – 4:45pm

Progressive Explosive Lifting (PEL)

Summary: Through proper coaching, athletes will utilize three main lifts, six ancillary movements, and various plyometrics to increase lower and upper body strength and muscle.

Level: Beginner to Proficient

-7th & 8th Grade Boys PEL
-7th – 12th Grade Girls PEL


Elite – Upper Strength with Agility Training.

Summary: This advanced program is reserved for high school and collegiate athletes who have completed 1 previous Team 1 Progressive Explosive Lifting (PEL) program and proven proficient in technique and form for all lifts. Heavy emphasis on upper body strength and mass building and lower body explosive power via plyometrics, agility and footwork drills.
